What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — your computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work as expected and to provide helpful information to site owners.
Cookies are not programmes; they cannot carry viruses or install software. They simply store a small amount of data that can be read by the website on a return visit. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser; others remain on your device for a set period.
Similar technologies — such as local storage and session storage — work in comparable ways and are treated under the same principles in this policy.
02
Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies. Essential cookies are always active. The remaining categories are optional and subject to your preferences.
Essential Cookies Always Active
These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They enable core features such as page navigation, form submission, and security. The website cannot function properly without them. They do not store personally identifiable information.
Duration: Session (deleted when browser closes)
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website — which pages are viewed most, how long visitors stay, and where they arrive from. This information helps us improve the site experience. Data collected is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors.
Provider: Google Analytics · Duration: Up to 2 years
Marketing Cookies
These cookies may be set by advertising partners to build a profile of your interests and show relevant content on other websites. They do not directly store personal information but use a unique identifier associated with your browser.
Providers: Advertising networks · Duration: Up to 1 year
Preference Cookies
These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make — such as your region or language preference — so that it can provide a more personalised experience on return visits.
Duration: Up to 1 year

Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our website are set by third-party services. These include:
- Google Analytics — used to understand how visitors navigate our site. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps — embedded on our contact page to display our location. Google may set cookies when the map is loaded.
- Advertising Networks — may be present if marketing cookies are accepted, to help deliver contextually relevant content.
Thalo Grove does not control third-party cookies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these services for more information about their data practices.
05
Cookie Duration
Cookies fall into two main duration categories:
Session Cookies
Temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you navigate our site.
Persistent Cookies
Cookies that remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Duration ranges from 30 days (preference cookies) to up to 2 years (analytics). Exact expiries are set by the originating service.
