About Thalo Grove

A Quiet Space Where Teams Come to Learn

We build workshops and learning programmes that fit the way real people work — grounded, practical, and easy to put into practice the next morning.

Our Story

How Thalo Grove Came Together

Thalo Grove started with a simple observation: most team training in Malaysia was either too generic to be useful or too expensive to be practical. Organisations spent money on programmes that looked impressive on paper but left participants with little they could actually do differently on Monday.

We set out to build something narrower and more useful. Each workshop we design is focused on a single, well-defined skill. We spend time understanding the organisation before we write anything, and we measure success by whether people find it helpful — not by how many slides we deliver.

Based in Petaling Jaya since our founding, we work primarily with Malaysian businesses across the Klang Valley, though we take on remote engagements for teams based elsewhere in the region.

Our Mission

What We're Here to Do

We believe that workplace learning works best when it's specific, unpretentious, and close to real work. Our mission is to help teams build skills they'll use week in and week out — not just on the day of the session.

We don't sell the idea of transformation. We offer focused sessions that give people something concrete: a new way to run a meeting, a clearer approach to written communication, a better framework for working through a disagreement.

"The goal isn't to inspire people for a day — it's to give them something worth keeping."

— Thalo Grove founding principle

The People

Who You'll Be Working With

RA

Rania Azhari

Lead Facilitator

Rania designs and leads most of our workshops. She has spent over a decade working with operational teams in financial services and manufacturing across the Klang Valley.

DL

Daniel Lim

Programme Designer

Daniel leads our Learning Programme Design engagements, helping organisations map out multi-month learning plans that their internal teams can run independently once we've handed over the framework.

NI

Nurul Izzati

Client Coordinator

Nurul manages client relationships and ensures every engagement runs on time and to brief. She's usually your first point of contact and the person who keeps things moving smoothly on our end.

How We Work

Our Working Standards

Clear Scope Before We Start

Every engagement begins with a written brief that both sides agree on. No surprises mid-programme about what's in or out of scope.

Needs-First Approach

We run a short needs review before designing content. What your team actually needs may differ from what was first assumed — we check.

Confidential by Default

Information shared during planning and sessions stays private. We don't reference one client's situation when working with another, and we're happy to sign an NDA.

Post-Session Review

After each workshop or series, we collect structured feedback and share a brief summary with the client — including what worked well and what we'd do differently.

Transparent Pricing

Our standard rates are published openly. Any variation from the listed price is explained in writing before you commit — no retroactive additions.

Respect for Your Team's Time

We start and end on time. Materials are prepared before the session, not assembled during it. Your team's day matters, and we plan accordingly.

Our Approach

Corporate Training That Fits Real Workplaces

Thalo Grove works with teams at Malaysian firms across sectors — from financial services and logistics to tech and professional services. Our workshops address the kind of everyday skills that don't get covered in onboarding: running a meeting people find worthwhile, writing clearly under time pressure, working through disagreements without damaging a working relationship.

Our Workshop Series format suits teams that want to build a skill set steadily over four to eight weeks. The Learning Programme Design engagement is for organisations that want to establish an internal learning habit — one they can sustain without bringing in an external provider every quarter.

We keep our client list small enough that every engagement gets our full attention. We're not trying to scale across hundreds of companies — we'd rather do fewer things well.

Work With a Team That Keeps Things Simple

A short call is usually enough to figure out whether one of our formats is a good match. No obligation either way.
